Once Upon A Time Potential Additions

Once Upon A Time
Potential Additions

Thinking Outside The Box

With the season finale of OUAT soon to be out of the way, what are we fans to do while we wait for season 3? To combat my boredom, I’ve compiled a list of characters, creatures, items and places I hope make an appearance on the show. I was trying to go grander and farther than ever before because a lot of people all want Thumbelina and The Little Mermaid to show up. No, since Dr. Frankenstein has been introduced, what other worlds can we delve into? I’ll list my choices and please feel free to add your own obscure but totally doable persons/places/things.

Characters

Merlin and Morgana Le Faye: Why not add two more magicians to the list? Morgana being evil could take the heat off of Regina and Gold, while Merlin could side with Snow, Charming and Emma.
Hercules: Yes, we have magic and we have science. I say we add mythology to the mix. Herc could fit right into the land of ridiculously good looking men.
Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde: Another villain. If we run out of villains the storyline wanes.  I’m sure a few murders might take place with this man on the loose.
The Frog Prince: He has yet to be mentioned. Even if it’s a cameo,  he should be in there somewhere.
Glenda the Good Witch: I can see her assisting the fairies with good magic. And for some reason, I can see her being killed. L
Paul Bunyan and his blue ox Babe:  American Folklore should be included. Legends start somewhere and who better to include than the man who could eat 50 pancakes in one minute, the man who dug a hole for his ox to drink from and it became one of the Great Lakes?

Creatures

Pegasus: Flying horses have a rightful place in the show and could be quite useful.
Banshees:  Only because they’re freaking scary looking and  the CGI would look awesome.
The Yeti: Because trolls and ogres are getting old.
Cyclops: Same as above but with giants.

Places

City of Atlantis: More places for them to portal! And I’m curious as to how they would write this. I only know of what I saw in the animated movie.
Oz: Well if we’re going to include Glenda we have to include her place. I see this as another Wonderland but freakier.
Mount Olympus: Where the gods roam; it’s a place to portal to get a cure or save someone.
Narnia: Am I reaching on this one? The more worlds we have the more adventures can take place.

Items

The Fountain of Youth: I know we saw the healing waters, but why hasn’t this gem been mentioned?
The Sword in the Stone: Again an awesome addition to a storyline.

There has to be more that I’m missing. Any suggestions are more than welcome.

Season 4 Episode 13 Recap
Advanced Introduction to Finality

Wow, so this is it, the beginning of the end.  I got a little misty-eyed during this ep. I don’t want things to change, especially since they've been renewed.

Jeff is finally graduating.  He’s offered a position at his old firm and he decides to take the job. The group plans a wedding-like graduation ceremony for him.  Later with Britta he says he’s worried about the group if he leaves, especially Abed.  Britta assures him Abed has made progress and hasn’t even brought up the darkest timeline.

The following day, Jeff pops in and discusses who gets the sodas by rolling for it. He tosses the die in the air and it lands on its side. Abed panics and leaves feeling this may have caused something. Later, while Dean Pelton has his back turned, a nearly naked Evil Jeff spawns in his office and runs out. As he is at his locker, Evil Annie appears with his mechanical arm. Evil Jeff plans to make Good Jeff take the job and leave his friends behind. Evil Jeff and Evil Annie set out to turn the group against Good Jeff. One by one, as he impersonates Good Jeff, he makes the group angry at him to where they don’t show up to the party. Abed is the only one to know that he has encountered Evil Jeff. Evil Jeff zaps Abed with a paintball warp gun and sends him to the darkest timeline.

Jeff shows up to his party where no one is there and he is confused when he see Annie in a tight, red, strapless dress.  She hands him his phone (the she stole earlier) and pushes him to call Mark and take his old job back. Jeff refuses. Evil Jeff shows up and attempts to send Good Jeff to the darkest timeline but at the last second, Chang jumps in front of the shot. Chang is never mentioned is this ep again.

In the darkest timeline, Abed finds Evil Abed or just regular Abed.  He dropped the evil and has focused on making his timeline brighter. Formerly Evil Abed equips Good Abed with warp paintball guns and sends him back to the good timeline.

Jeff finds the others and tries to explain that it’s Evil Jeff that insulted them. They don’t believe until Abed shows up with Evil Dean and zaps him to the darkest timeline as a demonstration.  The group arms themselves and hurries off to the cafeteria.

In the cafeteria, the Evil gang is already there looking for them. Evil Pierce gets tricked into zapping himself back to his timeline. Evil Britta clumsily does the same. The Shirleys, the Troys, and the Annies take on one another with the Good version winning in each scene. It comes down to Jeff versus Evil Jeff. With Abed’s telling Jeff that none of this is real, Jeff comes out to face Evil Jeff. Evil Jeff shoots and Good Jeff stops the bullet with his mind and then zaps Evil Jeff. Jeff plucks the paintball out of the air and is now back in the study room holding the die. He realizes it doesn’t matter who brings sodas or what as long as he celebrates with friends.

The next scene is Jeff’s graduation ceremony which is extremely similar to a wedding ceremony. The Greendale Human Being is standing next to Jeff, for some reason, and Dean is officiating. The ceremony is interrupted by Pierce who has decided that he wants to graduate first.
At the reception, Jeff thinks he may take a job at a local firm. If he does, he can pop in any time and visit the group. Man, that sounds so final. I haven’t really prepared myself to let go.

High Points

Dean Pelton had the best lines and delivery this episode. “Oooh, burn on Britta” “Catherine do not EVEN tell me you dropped that cake!” Those are just a couple of gems uttered by my favorite character.

Predictions

Well since Chang is in the Darkest Timeline,  I think Evil Chang might come through and wreak havoc.

Any other predictions that I didn't think of?

Hart of Dixie Season 2 Episode 22 Recap

Hart of Dixie
Season 2 Episode 22
"On The Road Again"

Zoe awakens to find that, yes, she did indeed sleep with Wade because she was feeling sorry for herself. As she comes to terms with this George walks in and see’s Zoe and Wade together and is angry and leaves. Does anyone knock anymore?  Anyways, it appears we have a “love” triangle on our hands. I use the word love loosely because she’s only dated one of the guys and the other she has on this pedestal but doesn’t deeply know him. This was the catalyst that makes all three players in this game take some possibly life changing steps.

Zoe’s Course of Action

Zoe goes to Lavon who is in bed with AnnaBeth and asks for their advice. They weren't doing it or anything; she just jumped in slumber party style.  After talking with them, she comes to the conclusion that she needs to get out of Bluebell for a while. She decides to fly to New York for a friend’s wedding. On that flight, a passenger is in dire need of medical attention (Yay! Medical emergencies are back!) and the pilot calls for a doctor on board. As luck would have it, there is not one but two doctors on board. That’s right, Jonah Breeland is on that very flight. Thanks to some quick thinking on Zoe’s part, the passenger was saved. Jonah the lips were blue! Just kidding, who could have noticed that? Only Zoe. The plane does an emergency landing to hospitalize the patient.

George’s Course of Action

George decides to get hammered but along the way runs into Wade’s crazy ex Lily Anne. She needs legal counsel and accompanies George to the bar. As George is kicking back drinks and drawing up a legal document for her, it comes out that his mind is on Zoe.  Lily Anne suggests that he gets past it by writing a song about the heartbreak.  He actually writes a few bars of a song with her help and then gets on stage and performs it.  He goes home and she comes looking for him.  She’s going on tour and needs an extra backup singer and would George like to go along? He ends up going in the end. He needs distance and time to think too.

Wade’s Course of Action

Wade is a little bummed that Zoe rejected him for casual sex a second time.  Yes, that happened. It kind of pushed her into leaving. He goes with Lemon to book the band Gloriana (more on that later).  During the drive he tells Lemon about how he feels like a loser that doesn’t change. Lemon says that he has. He’s opened a bar and hasn’t slept around in a long while.  He takes what Lemon is saying and concludes that he must go after Zoe.  He turns the car around Dukes of Hazzard style and starts off to find her.  He finds her and Jonah at a restaurant because of that sick patient, they didn’t get far.  He and Zoe go for a walk and he lays it on the line. He tells her he loves her. Zoe responds with a “Wow”. Bottom line is that she needs to think. Also she will be spending 3 months in New York working for her old boss.

Side stories

Lavon and the mayor of Filmore are at it again. Since Lavon won’t budge the mayor has kidnapped his gater, Burt Reynolds.  He devises a plan to get him back and it would have gone to hell if it hadn’t been for AnnaBeth saving the day. By the way, more and more people are just falling in love with AnnaBeth. She is a firecracker.

Lemon lied to the Belles about having the band Gloriana play at the Rammer Jammer.  Now she needs it to happen. She set up a meeting with them and that is why our Wade had to tag along.  When Wade veered off course to find Zoe, the meeting was cancelled because she didn’t make. She now has to go back to the Rammer Jammer and face all of those people and let them know that Gloriana is not showing up. But lo and behold, the band is there. And they put in an awesome performance.

We close with Zoe scrolling through her phone and hovering over George’s name in her contact list. Then she hovers over Wade’s name. Suddenly Jonah shows up as Zoe’s plus one at the wedding. I thought weddings had a strict count. Can they do that? As he goes off to the table, Zoe pauses in deep thought and smiles, screen fades to black and credits roll.

Shut the Front Door! Moment

George showing up at Zoe’s after getting dumped by Tansy. Does anyone ever fully get over heartache before rebounding in this town?

Predictions

Not sure. When we open with season 3, I picture Jonah and Zoe getting close but she just can’t go there.  George will finally be over Zoe and she’ll be super hurt. He’ll be a different man coming back from the road. I wonder if Lemon will pursue Wade since she is looking for her own happiness.

What are you predictions? Lay it on us. Nothing is too far-fetched.

Season 4 Episode 12 Recap
Heroic Origins

The season is getting better. I loved last episode but this recent ep was up to par as well. Again the gang, minus Pierce, is in their usual room studying for this history final. Pierce is not present due to a kidney donation. Jeff tries to keep the everyone focused but Abed cut in that he has been studying history……their history.

Without getting too specific and detailed, Abed basically proved that they have all crossed paths before going to Greendale. I’ll try to make it easy with a bullet list:

  • Annie (nerdy pill popper) and Troy (super popular athlete) went to high school together (we all know this)
  • Shirley was at the mall buying lingerie for Andre (their anniversary) on the very same day that Abed was there.
  • Britta was at the courthouse with her anarchists group the “an-HER-chists” at the same time as Jeff. Jeff won the ever-important case for a stripper named Misty. Britta actually thanked Jeff for defending women’s rights. A few minutes later Britt’s group dissolves and leaves her alone.
  • Back in the study room Shirley realizes that Misty is the stripper that cheated with Andre. If he hadn’t won the case Misty would be locked up for tax evasion and would not have met Andre. Abed excitedly cuts in “Jeff ends Shirley’s marriage”. An upset Shirley accuses Jeff of ruining her marriage. Jeff interjects that the win didn’t do him any favors. It was to “make” his career but made him a target instead.
  • Back in time Jeff is celebrating with Misty and one of the partners of the law firm.  He dismissed Misty to have a word with Jeff and informs him that there is a rumor that he does not have his degree and cannot practice until it’s sorted.
  • In present time Shirley and Jeff exchange words. Troy voices that he thinks it’s cool they are connected and he’s willing to forgive Annie for wrecking high school. Annie is surprised.
  • Flashback to a high school party. Troy does a keg flip and fakes a career-ending injury. Why? Well earlier that night when Troy wins all high school superlatives, including Most Likely To Succeed, Annie cracks and hurls insults that wound Troy to the core. After her tirade she runs screaming right through a sliding glass door and jumps a fence. Two balloons pop right next to Magnitude and a simple yet effective catchphrase is born.
  • In the study room Shirley wants to stop this as it shows how fragile happiness. She regrets leaving Andre at the restaurant, where he met Misty, to go pick up the kids. Abed suddenly realizes that he was at the mall with her kids.
  • Flashback to Abed at the theater talking to Shirley’s kids. He goes off on a rant about how they are stupid for want to see a Star Wars prequel. They call Shirley to come get them because some strange man frightened them.
  • Abed has to get court ordered therapy because Shirley chewed out the theater and the theater obtained a restraining order against Abed. As he and his dad walk into the therapist’s office we see Annie hiding and Abed mentioning to the doc “someone just stole your prescription pad”. Annie sneaks out into the hallway and runs into Britta liberating a monkey.
  • In present time, Abed comes to the conclusion that he was the bad guy in the study group. Jeff says they’ve all made bad decisions, but the real villain is him.
  • We flash back to the restaurant where Jeff pushes Misty to go back and talk to a married guy at the restaurant.
  • Back in the room the group is unsettled and everyone, but Abed, leaves bummed out.
  • Abed decides to get yogurt in the mall. As he sits there sadly, Jeff joins him. Then Shirley comes out of nowhere and asks to sit there as well. She forgives Jeff as he is not that guy anymore. Britta and Annie show up followed by Troy. Troy says this is the place where he first decided to go to Greendale. Everyone states that’s the place where they, too, decided to go to Greendale.
  • We flash to the mall where Dean and Chang are passing out flyers for Greendale. Shirley upset that she can’t return her lingerie throws it to the ground. Dean walks by and picks it up and something stirs inside him. Chang goes and passes out flyers at the yogurt place. The whole gang is there at their own tables.  They look at Chang’s flyers and resolve to go to Greendale. Chevy Chase makes a brief appearance as the guy who broke the yogurt machine that day.
  • In present time Abed suddenly realizes who really got the group together. He runs off and gets Chang and invites him for yogurt. Chang melts because this is all he ever wanted.
    The new Greendale Seven?

The side plot is Chang conversing with the Dean of City College (called it). The two were going to take down Greendale. Later that day Chang is in the registration office with Dean and he’s sealing a lease renewal for Greendale. It is über important that the renewal goes out that day and he entrusts it in Chang’s hands. After being let in the group he has a change of heart and mails the lease. He then calls Dean Spreck and tells him that he it out of the deal and hangs up. Dean Spreck moves on to Plan B which, according to blueprints, involves a giant spider.

High Points:

Britta and Annie’s 2008 looks were awesome! Plus as a comic book reader, I enjoyed the artwork in between scenes.

Predictions:

The study group will face off with their alternate timeline counterparts.

If last week’s ep was a 9, this week’s was an 8. Which is fine with me as they should never dip below a 6. And this season has had some 2’s and 3’s.

Hart of Dixie Season 2 Episode 21

Hart of Dixie

Season 2 Episode 21
"I'm Moving On"

Where to begin with this episode?  Are there any rational and stable adults left in Bluebell? This was a barrage of  Disney style shenanigans.  Wade holding up a beam looking helpless? Lavon dumping trash on the Filmore mayor’s doorstep? I thought for sure this episode would be better than last week’s but I was mistaken. There was too much going on. My recap is considerably longer than last week’s because of the cluster of subplots.

Let’s begin, shall we?  We open with Zoe showing up at George’s with alcohol. Leave it alone Zoe. I still love Rachel Bilson but Zoe Hart was NOT likable in this episode.  What are they doing to her character? Anyway, Zoe apologizes again and pleads insanity. She also feels the need to tell George that she is online dating. She badly needs a Lavon replacement.

Wade and Lemon are knee deep in repairs at the Rammer Jammer and the cost just keeps going up. Lemon has a respectable contractor to come look at the damage and Wade dismisses him in favor of a considerably less expensive contractor.

Upon returning from giving Dolly Parton a walk, Tansy questions George about why Zoe was walking away from their boathouse. George is honest and lets her know why she was there. Of course she’s not too happy about finding out about Zoe still having feelings about George. She’s naturally upset about it. George attempts to put her mind at ease. Cut to the next scene.

Rose is rifling through Zoe’s clothes because 9th and 10th grade prom is coming up.  Can someone tell me if that’s actually a thing? I thought there was only junior and senior prom. When did underclassmen get their own dance? My bad, let’s move on. Rose is going with Matt. Remember him? The kicker that had a crush on Zoe. While she’s doing that, Zoe is on the laptop looking at the potentials that have hit her up on the site. Apparently she did a bad job setting it up because Rose steps in and helps her. One guy catches Zoe’s eye and she’s feeling good about him.

At the Breeland residence, Brick sits his daughters down and announces his engagement to Shelby. The girls are shocked. On top of that, he casually mentions that he proposed after surgery for his tumor. Right after that Shelby chimes in that she left Brick as he lay dying in the hospital. I’m not sure if I liked this scene or I just wanted to like it.

Back at the Rammer Jammer, Lavon tells Wade he needs to shut down for repairs. Wade let him know he did the repairs himself.

A few feet away, Tansy is at a table alone sulking. Wanda comes by and checks on her. Tansy let’s her know about the whole Zoe situation even the part about Zoe online dating. Wanda says that it’s probably just her insecurity and she should get their “star charts” done. According to her, it’ll measure their compatibility.

Zoe walks in and starts looking for the guy she is to meet. It turns out that it’s Meatball. I honestly don’t remember him from previous episodes. Wade dies laughing and pounds the bar to where a small section of the ceiling falls in. So much for saving money on repairs.

The next subplot involves Lavon and the mayor of Filmore. Lavon and Mayor Gainey exchange revenge tactics. In the end, AnnaBeth comes through with a major compromise that benefits Bluebell more. AnnaBeth was the saving grace of this episode.

Magnolia gets a nose piercing that Brick is against and she informs him that Shelby said it was cute. Brick calls Shelby in and come to find out, she didn’t like it but didn’t know she could say something. Brick tells her she has as much say so as he does.

(sighs) We’re almost through the ep. Hang in there.

Back to Tansy and those star charts. She shows them to George and is ecstatic that they are ultra-mega compatible. George has this hesitant look on his face and we all know it has something to do with his time of birth.

Rose and Max stealthily set up Zoe with Max’s dad, Michael. Their date is awkward but not unpleasant.

Back at the bar, Wade hired another contractor. This guy tells Wade that beam is fragile and may give way at any second. Wade jumps on the ladder to hold the beam while the guy gets his jack. Turns out he’s not going to get his equipment, he’s just gonna take cash from the register and leave Wade holding that beam. Lemon walks in a short time later and it’s implied she helps Wade but now they are seriously in need of cash.

Lemon goes to her father for help but with Shelby’s newfound knowledge that she has say so, she states that Lemon needs to stand on her own two feet. Lemon holds her tongue and leaves. Later Lavon approaches her and offers to loan her money. She realizes that Shelby was right and declines Lavon’s offer. Later Brick and Shelby have a tiff about him trying to sneak Lemon some money. It comes out that Brick is still hurt and angry about her leaving him in his hour of need. After talking about it, they decide they should just get married as soon as possible.

Zoe shows up to Rose and Max’s prom as a chaperon but really it’s to check out Michael again. She lets him know that she’s into him and he confesses he is not attracted to her and her drama. By the way, George and Tansy are also chaperons and Tans is not happy Zoe showed up. I can’t blame her. She confronts her (finally) and Zoe freaks out and makes a scene reinforcing Michael’s belief that she is full of drama.

Tansy decides to break up with George. I was really bummed for him. Poor guy, he can’t catch a break and it’s always Zoe’s fault.

While Lemon and Wade are drinking their problems away, Lavon shows up with what seems like half the town. With everyone pitching in they should be up and running in no time.

Shut the front door! Moment

I want Zoe and Wade together but not like this! Sympathy sex?!?!? Ugh!!!

Predictions

I have none. I don’t know where this show is going anymore.

Well there you have it. I know I said this last week, but hang in there. I have hopes that next week's ep should be better. Right?
